A Southern girl born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Shannon Humphrey is an author of dystopian, political fiction and science fiction stories Skin Trials, Hope Defined and Blood Republic. Her writing earned her scholarships to college, a prestigious Hedgebrook fellowship, and as an attorney, legal victories in trial court and with the California Court of Appeal. She loves fusing science fiction with human struggle in her stories.
